Evidence suggests that Perrin was a Civil War soldier who tried to stow away aboard a pirate ship that sank over a century ago, and neighborhood legend has it that souls lost in that historic shipwreck roam the Faubourg-Marigny District in search of young maidens, referred to as Keepers, to lure down to their watery graves. Could it be possible that Perrin’s a supernatural being, or is Alene losing her mind?
